I have been very busy in the studio, working on among other things these portraits. There will be many more of these to come. I always love the images drawn on the wood before I cut them, and I decided finally that it seems like a pretty appropriate device to communicate with; I feel that the wood adds a warmth and makes the portraits live in a way that paper does not.
